Wonderful care in this hospital.The theatre and the ward staff were so. Friendly and made sure my operation and a short stay went well.Everything was explained and I Could not have had better care for my hand operation.The hospital was a also spotless a nd the car parking close and cheap.
I was in hospital in louth 18 months ago due to a arm injury the service i received was outstanding the nurse i saw wasnt judgemental and i was seen very quickly was given strong painkillers and she was really understanding i was seen and out of the hospital door in less then 40 mins. The nurse said ive pulled a muscle and legiment in my arm she was really kind and thoughtful and told me not to worry and that if i wanted she would do me a scan on my arm to see if i had disocated or not for a peace of mind i had a scan done and it came back ive not done any serious damage to my arm but i did pull a muscle she told me what to do the care i received while inside was just amazing. The hospital was clean loos clean and receptionist really nice i was given a time of waiting just ten mins. All the nurses were just fantastic well worth coming here if needed they are hard working nurses doctors etc who really do care for their patients and enjoy what they do. Thank you to the nurse who put my mind at ease when i did injure my arm. I would also like to state that My sister was rushed to louth hospital about 3 years ago with severe food poisoning she was seen with in 5 mins and was put on a drip in louth hospital were she stayed for 2 night's the care that she received was outstanding she had a really bad case of food poisoning and she was only allowed home when the gp doctor thought she was well enough to go home again she was given 3 weeks course of antibiotics and they actually made sure she got home ok afterwards being discharged. Thank you louth hospital for just outstanding hospital
I was admitted to Fotherby Ward as a day patient for reconstructive knee surgery and from the minute at 7.30am and left was discharged at about 5pm, during that time the staff including nurses, doctors, physiotherapist, anaethatist and of course my surgeon looked after me 100% I cannot fault them. They all put me at ease. Thank you to you all. You are truly magnificent. Xxx
Of the three times I have attended this a&e, twice I have discharged myself early due to waiting around for hours because there usually isn't a doctor there, just nurses, so it takes ages to be seen by anyone. Went there the other day at 9pm after having a fever of just over 39c, was lethargic with a stiff neck, swollen tonsils, and feeling like I was going to pass out when standing, wasn't my normal self could barely hold a conversation and felt like my head was burning I was so warm, found the bright lights painful, and couldn't breathe properly. The first nurse I saw was lovely but the second dismissed my symptoms even after finding blood in my urine and discharged me before a doctor arrived, no blood tests done, just said I probably have a virus. Saw a GP today who told me the symptoms are similar to meningitis, luckily it wasn't that but I do have quite bad tonsillitis which the doctor put me on antibiotics for and ordered blood tests. The wait is longer but if you need medical attention go to Grimsby/Lincoln/Hull/Boston because Louth aren't very good at what they do. Arrived at 9pm and told they wouldn't have a doctor there until 10:30pm, the doctor I saw the next day said that my hospital visit was not recorded either.
This little gem of a hospital is excellent the staff are brilliant. I went to A&E this morning and was seen within minutes and leaving with a prescription for sinus & ear infection 15 mins later tops. It's a much needed service in the area we all need to look after it
