Great place for all ages, good circular walk. Car parking at both ends (one free) but limited spaces.
Hubbards Hills, formed over 40,000 years ago from Glacial activity. This process cleaved a 38 meter deep, steep sided valley which is visible today. A great place to visit especially in the spring & summer seasons.There are two car parks, one at each end.
Visited on a late Sunday morning in January - crisp and bright day. Nice to meander by the water, across the bridges and amongst the hills. Cafe and toilets available en route. Very picturesque with wildfowl, water and woodland birdlife as well as squirrels and possibly more. - we caught sight of a buzzard en route. Great for supervised small kids and dogs.
It's a lovely place for the outdoor lovers and surrounding areas. There are leisurely walks to take on the footpaths and even off track hikes for the more adventurous which I just loved. It can get rather muddy so dress warm in winter and spare shoes and boots are ideal. There is also so many amazing photography opportunities as you stroll into an amazing landscape of rolling hills and greenery to surround your every sense with pure nature.
Absolutely lovely little park walk. The cafe isn't somewhere I'd grab food but it's a great spot to pick up a tea and ice scream. It does have public toilets but don't expect home comforts. A stream that runs through the middle is well known for paddling, a great spot for kids! Somewhere I'd always recommend.
