We stumbled across this site as it's brand new but what an absolute treasure. There were very few sites that catered for children in the area so this was just the ticket for us. When we arrived we had a really warm welcome from the family who run the site and they made sure we knew where to find everything. My 11 year old daughter was particularly excited to see a farm yard full of animals, and someone ready and willing to show her everything and share their enjoyment of running a small farm. We pitched up on the lovely level field (especially important when tenting) and were promised fantastic views of the sunset - we weren't disappointed! The weather was fantastic for our week so we asked for recommendations for a good beach. Again we weren't disappointed, Theddlethorpe Dunes (about 15 minutes drive away) was a stunning, secluded and sandy beach. The water was shallow, warm and prefect for swimming, the sand just right for sandcastles and we saw seals and jelly fish to boot. The site was also close to the charming town of Louth with a great selection of little shops, as well as some busier seaside towns, including Mabelthorpe and Cleethorpes. Plus, just a short drive from the Lincolnshire Wolds where we found plenty to do; Castles, Country Parks, Cycle Rides, an Aviation Museum...We loved staying here and would definitely recommend you visit.
