Great Staff and food..... Owner a bit Mardy but will keep going back
Asked for a pint of Guinness and the guy poured a can into a glass before sitting it on a bar mount device that put the head on. Tasted warm, flat and was a fair bit less than a pint in the glass.Took my paper to the snug and had to sit there with TV audio playing through the speakers (no screen in there). Music videos and adverts quite loud though no one in.Finally, it's 2019. How bad at business do you have to be to still only take cash these days? There is no excuse for refusing card payments any more. They've clearly spent a fair bit doing it up but shame they can't get the basics right.

Food was lovely, staff friendly, prices reasonable. Lovely little casual pub, not too busy midweek. Handy co-op car park on its doorstep.
The interior of this pub is in need of some TLC as many of the chairs have seen better days, but even so they were easy to relax in and felt reminiscent of a favourite pair of slippers. The food was well presented and a good quality and was reasonably priced, which was also the case with the drinks. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Largely off the beaten track there was only one other couple there when we stopped for lunch. Welcoming atmosphere. Somewhere to have a quiet drink and chat.
